Yellowstone Pack Trips

Yellowstone National Park contains more than 2.2 million acres of the most pristine wilderness still available in America. Why not come feast on the great outdoors and make Yellowstone your home for a spell? We'll work together with you to plan and arrange a tailor-made trip you'll never forget.

At Yellowstone Rough Riders, we take pride in designing the adventure of your dreams. Whether it be fishing, hiking, sightseeing, spotting wildlife or any combination, we'll do our best to provide just what you want. You'll see all the natural beauty you can take in.

Ride our well-trained horses and blaze a trail through Yellowstone's beautiful back country. Whether you're an expert horseman or a novice, we make sure everyone in your group gets the best horse for your size, weight and riding skill level. You'll sleep in our tents under the Big Sky, and wake up each morning to the song of the birds and the majesty of the mountains.

Personal pack trips are priced at $350.00 per day per person. Plan your trip for three days (the minimum) or more for a fun-filled wilderness adventure.

Some people ask, "Where do you go?" We go all over Yellowstone, depending upon your interest, riding experience and trip length. Yellowstone Rough Riders owner and expert outfitter H.A. Moore has been guiding guests safely through Yellowstone for over 25 years. The park is his second home. Just tell H.A. what you want to see, and he'll take you to the loveliest scenic spots he's personally discovered.

Our pack trips are for you and yours alone. You'll be pleased to know we do not mix groups. Our trips are arranged for your group of 4-8 people. There is always at least two staff on every trip. Larger groups or longer trips may have three or four staff to serve you in the best way possible.

For singles or couples who would like to be with a group, we offer one or two mixed group trips a year. If this fits you, we'll make every effort to match you with others who have similar interests. These trips, too, are for 4-8 people. Call us and we'll work together to make sure we can get you in with a group to experience the wonders of the wilderness.

All of our pack trips are inclusive. You need only bring your personal gear and we'll provide all the rest. We will send you a checklist of items we suggest you bring for your comfort. (Most people prefer to bring their own sleeping bags, but we do have them available to rent if needed.) We provide tents, sleeping pads, snacks and a back country kitchen with an excellent camp cook who can whip up delicious mouthwatering meals. And if you have some dietary restrictions, be sure to tell us and we promise to do our best to meet your needs.

We also have fishing gear available at no charge! The clear blue waters of Yellowstone provide some of the best trout fishing anywhere on earth. If there are one or two anglers in your group, we'd be happy to arrange a personal fishing guide for you.

Because our packs trips are tailor-made for you, there are a great many details involved. Therefore, they cannot be booked entirely online. However, please submit a form stating you are interested by clicking Book It! and then we can talk by phone. We need to speak with you directly to make sure everything will be just the way you want.
